SUPAKINO brings Turbans Seen On Screen to the London Short Film Festival. We will be celebrating and examining the changing representation of turbaned Sikhs on film and TV with an evening of short films, archive clips and music videos.
There will be archive documentary footage of Sikhs settling in UK and Canada, clips of turbaned characters from 1950s Hollywood to contemporary Bollywood, and the work of contemporary Sikh filmmakers. Ranjit Ruprai of SUPAKINO, will be discussing the clips with special guests Sathnam Sanghera & Dr Jasjit Singh for what will be a fun and fascinating evening of Turbans Through Time!
