WORM WEEKEND: TREMORS + Mystery Screenings
SUPAKINO’s legendary late night shows return to Rio Cinema for Worm Weekend with a midnight screening of TREMORS (1990) hosted by Ranjit S. Ruprai plus oddities and mystery screenings all night.

SUPAKINO presents “Painful Arcadia”: a double bill of MARIANNE DE MA JEUNESSE (1955) & MADHUMATI (1958), two supernatural love stories from French and Indian cinema set amongst misty forests and mysterious mansions. Both films will be introduced by Ranjit S. Ruprai and include post-screening discussions with film critic Phuong Le.
BOMBAY MIX: WONDERWALL / THE CLOUD DOOR (LONDON)
SUPAKINO presents “Enclosed Ecstasies”, a double bill of Joe Massot’s WONDERWALL (1968) & Mani Kaul’s THE CLOUD DOOR (1994). Ranjit S. Ruprai will be exploring the connections between these films as guest curator for The Garden Cinema’s Musical Fridays.

TSOS: OCTOPUSSY (40th Anniversary)
For the 40th Anniversary of Octopussy, SUPAKINO brings Turbans Seen On Screen to The Garden Cinema. This year’s South Asian Heritage Month is all about “Stories To Tell” and this under-screened Bond film is surrounded by many fascinating stories linking British film history to the British South Asian experience.
